New Changes to Miss Nepal 2012

In a press release by Hidden Treasure’s promoter Mr. Subarna Chhetri formally announced the details of the contest on Thursday. The final event of “Pashupati Paints Luxuria The Hidden Treasure Miss Nepal 2012” will be held on May 6 at the Hotel de l’Annapurna. Mr. Chhetri along with Chairman Gopal Sundar Lal Kakshapati announced that this year the pageant is going to be held outdoors at the swimming pool side of the Hotel Annapurna. This year only seventeen final contestants will participate instead of usual twenty. The winner will be awarded with a Hero Honda Pleasure Scooter. The 1st runner up will be awarded Rs. 30,000 and the 2nd runner up wll be awarded Rs.20,000. The crown sponsor is Shree Ganapati Jewelers and the crown will be made of Swarovski and color stone and it’s announced that an international designer will design the crown. The main designer for Miss Nepal 2012 will be Mumbai based fashion designer, Vishal Kapoor of Panache Runway.

The mission of Miss Nepal Pageant is to help showcase beauty and talents of young women and preserve the coveted title of Miss Nepal. This is the 19th year of Miss Nepal despite the three years break. To add to this Mr. Chhetri explains, “Our responsibility is not to create Miss Nepal every year. Our philosophy is mainly to guide the contestants through the five to six week training and produce an individual with an improved personality with lots of confidence, proper mindset, an a strong independent woman. Miss Nepal is simply for women, by women, and about women.”
