PheriUthneChha Nepal - Nepathaya in Concert
A celebration for unity and strength through solidarity
Nepathya, a legendary bandhaving appeal across age groups,is all set to enthrall music lovers on May 14, 2016. The band will be performing LIVE at Jawalakhel Ground. Organized and managed by Bandwagon by Positive Vibes- an event management company, the LIVE Concert is the outcome of the collective participation and synergic efforts of the likeminded and concerned NGOs- Child Protection Nepal, Work ForA Cause Nepal, Sano Paila, WILL, Aishworya Children Home and Raise of Hope Nepal.
It has been a year since the massive earthquake causing serious human and infrastructure catastrophe in Nepal. This LIVE Concert is organized to heal and also support the deprived and vulnerable populations.
In continuation of last year’s ‘Coca-Cola PheriUthneChha Nepal’ campaign, this musical show will provide a joyful and jubilant atmosphere for the people who faced severe crises over the past one year. The positivity and resilience shown by the Nepali citizens inspired Coca-Cola to initiate the campaign, which was officially launched along with its mnemonic, anthem and music video to encourage people to come forward in rebuilding the nation. Speaking on the Concert, Anand Ratnaparkhi, Country Channel & Marketing Manager, Bottlers Nepal Limited said, “With great pleasure, we are once again connecting with the people of Nepal through the magic of music, to commend their determination in moving forward from the hardships faced in the last one year”.
The concert’s prime objective is to generate funds to be used for the betterment of the society.
Following the earthquake that shook the nation on the 25th of April 2015, the positivity and resilience showed by the Nepali people inspired Coca-Cola to initiate the campaign “PheriUthneChha Nepal”, which was officially launched along with its mnemonic, anthem and music video on August, 2015. The “PheriUthneChha Nepal” anthem, penned by Ranjit Acharya with music by Jems Pradhan, with singers- Ani Choying Dolma, Jems Pradhan, Sugam Pokhrel, Indira Joshi, Adrian Pradhan, Deepak Bajracharya, Nirnaya Da NSK, Som Barailee, Kamal Khatri, Aidray along with 8 youths from Maaiti Nepal; presents the bravery, resilience and cooperation shown by Nepali citizens on the aftermath of the earthquake as an example to inspire people to come forward in rebuilding the nation.
Under its umbrella campaign of PheriUthneChha Nepal, the Coca-Cola Company has already accomplished many tasks in rebuilding Nepal. The company, in collaboration with UN Habitat, has rebuilt schools in earthquake hit regions through its Support My School project. The company also donated $1,000,000 to the American Red Cross Society and with the good intention of providing clean drinking water to earthquake victims, distributed 25 trucks of Kinley Water Bottles to various hospitals and temporary shelters.
