Music of my life
20 February 2011-Sunday
-The Cheeguz

Rajan Rayamajhi seemed destined for a career in music at an age when most children were happy playing hide and seek. Music in general made him happy, and started shaping his music repertoire long before he even started taking formal music lessons.

“Music is more than just a hobby for me, it’s my life. I express my emotions through my music and it’s the universal language that never fails to connect,” shared Rayamajhi. And it’s that unwavering commitment to his craft that saw the release of his debut album, Barsha.

The singer revealed he has been singing for the last decade and is comfortable crooning Lok-Aadhunik songs. “I do admit it took me a little long to release my solo album, but better late than never, right?” smiled Raymajhi.

Also a lyricist and musician, he would like to work for film. “Composing, arranging or maybe singing for a soundtrack is on my next agenda, If there’s a good project I’m all game for it.”

Owner of a music company, Canvas Music Pvt. Ltd, Koteshwor, Rayamajhi has recently released video for Barshako Bela, directed by Navaraj Acharya.
